Glen Kirby is a bold and dynamic director with a sharp eye for storytelling. Kicking off his career by founding West One Entertainment, he made waves with The Pugilist, earning critical acclaim, with a nomination for the Michael Powell award for Best British Film at the prestigious Edinburgh International Film Festival.
Glen is currently based in London with Northeast (Co Durham) heritage. Recently founded a production company called Stanley Films, a northeastern production company passionate about showcasing the rich culture and heritage of County Durham on the silver screen.
Launching with a biopic about the life story of Glenn McCrory the first ever northeast world boxing champion, who’s spirits was lifted by his adopted brother David who suffered from a condition, Fredriech’s Ataxia.
